The LED is sealed behind a front window, so rain, snow, mud and lint cannot block the emitter, while the 3.25 MOA red dot stays small enough for precise shots and big enough to pick up fast. It mounts on the industry standard Trijicon RMR footprint, so pistols and plates that already take an RMR accept the RCR without new adapters, and it works with suppressor height iron sights the same way the RMR does. The housing is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and Trijicon says it surpasses the RMR in durability. A single CR2032 loads from the top, so you can change the battery without removing the optic. Battery life is over 6 years of continuous use on setting 5 of 10. There are 10 brightness settings, including 3 for night vision and 1 super bright setting, and the sight is waterproof to 66 ft.
